Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) said on CNN's “Anderson Cooper 360°” Wednesday that Elon Musk's actions as a special government employee were illegal and unconstitutional.
Sanders said: The Trump administration's most important appointee, and when you see, since Trump's inauguration, Elon Musk has been rich in $150 billion in two and a half weeks, and $150 billion in wealth, and we are abundance of the Oligarchy Please tell me if you live in. And I think the function of government under Trump under Elon Musk is not to serve the average people, but to enrich the wealthiest people in the country. ”
He added: “What masks do is illegal and unconstitutional. You can't go to an agency like USAID, you can't essentially fire everyone and get rid of that agency. You can't do that It cannot be. It is an agency created by Congress. They want to get rid of USAID, come to Congress and make your claim. You can't make it one-sided. Medicaid is Community Health Center You cannot withhold US funds allocated for it. You cannot put freezes on it. That money was allocated by Congress. And hopefully I know every fourth grade in America. As it does, Congress has a wallet string.”
