According to newly released photos, USAID material was found among the weapons used by Lebanon's Hezbola terrorists.
Asher Fredman, a conservative policy analyst and peace advocate who works for the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) during the recent conflict in Lebanon, wrote a photo of the USAID box he found in Hezbollah's weapons cache on Wednesday. I posted it.
The photo has since become a virus, strengthening evidence released by Breitbart News in October 2024, showing USAID documents among anti-tank missiles discovered by IDF soldiers after beating Hezbollah's terrorists .
Reported by Breitbart News:
A video issued by Israeli Defense Force (IDF) soldiers shows a group of infantry surrounds a stockpile of weapons. When the camera pans to the right, a box labeled “USAID” appears on the set of tank missiles.
…
It is not clear what is included in the USAID box, or why it was discovered in the weapon, but it is possible that the terrorist is applying USAID support for his or her own purposes. Similarly, Gaza photos and videos show Hamas weapons that appear in UN Rescue Agency (UNRWA) documents.
USAID responded at that time:
The box comes from humanitarian delivery of food to Lebanese civilians in the second half of 2023. USAID is wary of the risk of diversion of assistance and has been experienced in responding to the crisis in challenging locations where much of humanitarian assistance is programmed. Our trusted partners are subject to extensive monitoring procedures to mitigate the risk of assistance flowing to individuals and organizations affiliated with terrorists. We also work closely with implementation partners, other donors and inspectors to identify and mitigate risks. USAID has no reason to suspect that what you see in this video is more than an old box reused.
Despite these assurances, USAID's activities have been under intense scrutiny since Elon Musk's Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) began looking into the money the agency spent. That required the attitude of a democratic editor.
UAE's Fredman and Roy Al-Sharif announced the OP-ED this week on Breitbart News, urging the US to update the Abraham Accord expansion.
