The pilot retrieved a gun from his truck and stopped an armed teenager demanding a plane at Arkansas' Texalcana Regional Airport on Tuesday.

Seeing what was going on, the pilot ran to his truck, retrieved his gun and chased after the teenager who “breaked security at the airfield.” The pilot ordered the teens to the ground, and the teens obeyed. The pilot then hugged the teen at the muzzle for the police.
The teen was charged with “advanced assault, attempted robbery and first-degree terrorist threats.”
Texarkana Regional Airport has issued a statement. This states, “We are extremely grateful that neither injuries nor lives have been lost, but in fact, through this pilot's actions, their actions, by the staff at Signature Airlines, saved lives.”
