Trump will be taking part in the Super Bowl.
President Donald Trump is planning to go to the Super Bowl.
The White House has confirmed that Trump will be attending Sunday's rematch between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Philadelphia Eagles in New Orleans, with the presence of the US president sitting at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans, and the Super Bowl 59 Add another layer to the atmosphere surrounding it. This year's Super Bowl security was already bolstered in response to a deadly attack in New Orleans on January 1st.
The Super Bowl is coming to New Orleans for the first time since 2013. It was less than six weeks after 42-year-old Shams de Dinjabal drove the truck into the busiest part of the city's iconic French quarter. Jabal, a Texas resident and Army veteran, died in a shootout with police. Authorities later found an ISIS flag in the truck and investigated the attack as a terrorist act.
Trump is probably the first president to attend the Super Bowl. President George H.W. Bush performed the Super Bowl coin toss twice. It was first performed in 2002 when New England Patriots defeated the St. Louis Rams in the first Super Bowl after the 9/11 terrorist attacks, and in 2017 he was defeated again before Tom Brady and the Patriots. He hit the Atlanta Falcon in the biggest Super Bowl comeback of all time.
