New Lakers superstar Luka Donsic is not gradualized to all the negative comments coming out of Dallas after being traded on an overnight deal on Sunday morning.
Doncic first appeared on his new home, Crypto.com Arena, and said he was used to comment on his conditioning on TNT's Lakers-Warriors game broadcast on Thursday night.
“That's fine, I've been asked many times in my life,” Donsic said. Another motivation to be prepared for yourself and take a different path. I've been asked a lot, so I'm used to it. But you know, it's work, it's business and I'm happy to be here. Play basketball.
Since the trade began, reports have emerged that the Mavericks have been concerned about whether they can meet his potential due to his conditioning and lifestyle.
ESPN reported that Dallas has “big concerns.” He also raised ample questions about whether the Mavericks would like to commit to another Supermax contract extension.
That's not going well with some people, including Nicemith Hall of Fame Reggie Miller, who criticized the Mavericks for describing him as a “character assassination.”
“I was also critical of Luka.” Miller said On NBA TV on Thursday. “I felt he needed to be in a better shape, but I don't like the assassination of his character floating from the Mavericks – and if it comes from the Mavericks, then I would say As to why they swapped him: “He was not in great condition, he was in his conditioning, he never put shape.”
“If you're not in good health, you won't be your first Team All-NBA player for the fifth consecutive year. So stop assassinating a character that this guy is in poor health, he's lazy. ”
No one chattered the rage of Dallas fans or dampened the excitement of Los Angeles.
The Lakers introduced the new star to the home crowd during a game against the Warriors Thursday night.
Donsic was given an exciting applause from Southern California fans.
The team's new intro video has also been updated to include Doncic.
Doncic has been nursing the tension in the left calf since Christmas Day and was expected to make his Lakers debut on Saturday, but those plans seemed to be changing. ESPN Report That Monday is a new target.
Donsic took part in a 5-5 scrimmage on Wednesday, and Lakers manager JJ Redick described it as “well.”
“I think [his first game will be] Probably Monday. Again, there's no commitment or anything, but it's probably going to be even more trending towards Monday,” Reddick said.
