New Mexico Democrats are pushing for sweeping out semi-automatic firearms that are commonly owned and legally purchased.
The law is SB 279, a reboot of legislative government for Michelle Lujan Grisham (D), appointed in 2023.
On December 13, 2023, Breitbart News reported that Grisham hoped to have modelled Senator Mark Kelly (D-AZ) gas manipulation legislation modelled the Semi-automatic Firearms Exclusion (GOSAFE) Act. did.
