Rep. Tim Burchett (R-TN) told Breitbart News in an exclusive interview on Friday that $40 million per week in US taxpayer dollars still go to the Taliban despite the current freeze in foreign aid He said he believes.

“We're told that somehow they're getting it,” he said. “It's on the surface we know.”

After a disastrous withdrawal from Afghanistan, the Biden administration argued that they would like to continue providing humanitarian assistance to Afghans despite the Taliban taking over the country and controlling where money is spent. It continued to send billions of US taxpayer funds to the country.

It is not clear how much money the Biden administration sent to Afghanistan.

A weekly cash injection of $40 million per week into Afghanistan is a special inspector for the Afghan Reconstruction (SIGAR) report, with the US being the biggest donor, United Nations Humanitarian Aid Effort It refers to.

Special Inspector (Sigar) John Sopko for Afghanistan Reconstruction in April 2023 testimony After its withdrawal in August 2021, it was a congressional system that made the US $8 billion available to Afghanistan. It is not clear whether a $40 million weekly cash injection for humanitarian aid is being withdrawn from the $8 billion.

According to the Center for Strategic and International Research (CSIS) ReportCigar also found that the Taliban had been “sucked or benefited from a substantial amount of humanitarian assistance” by accessing the aid budget to non-governmental organisations of the UN agreement. They charge taxes and “security” fees on humanitarian workers. Instructs aid agencies to serve Taliban officials and their families. It taxes Afghan aid beneficiaries at a high rate.

In December 2023, Burchet first introduced a bill to stop the flow of money to the Taliban. The Taliban was first attracted attention by podcasters and former Navy Seal Shaun Ryan and “legendary” Afghanistan-American veterans. The bill passed the US House of Representatives unanimously, but it didn't gain support in the Democratic-controlled Senate.

Burchet reintroduced his bill and was called a tax-free tax for the Terrorist Act on January 10th of this year.

“There's a lot of work done about this bill and we couldn't raise any issues without the help of Sean Ryan and the legend. This law sat long enough, and it was through both rooms. I look forward to working and bringing it to President Trump's desk as soon as possible,” Burchett said in a statement at the time.

The bill would force the State Department to develop and implement policies against foreign aid from going to the Taliban. They need a report on Afghanistan's cash assistance program and how the US can prevent the Taliban from accessing it. Reports on the Afghan Fund and the Central Bank of Afghanistan are required.

Barchett said the bill was supported by Senator Tim Sheehee (R-MT) and Tommy Tuberville (R-AL).

Lawmakers also support ending US aid to Ukraine.

“We'll cut it out. We'll cut it out. Let's take them to the table right away,” he said. “I'm glad that they didn't vote for a penny over there. The war pimps sold this, meaning it's their business. It's war and as long as the young people continue to die, That's a good thing. …I don't think that's what I hate.”

“My dad had the words, 'The old man makes a decision, and the young man dies,'' said Burchet, who his father and uncle fought in World War II.

Bertit, who is on the committee overseeing government efficiency, praised Dodge's efforts so far, saying he hopes to see the waste and fraud of Medicaid and Medicare, education and defense spending. I did.

“I hope they don't stop, I hope they just keep going,” he said.

He blamed the Pentagon for failing seven audits.

“They can't find half a trillion dollars. Is it the airline of the aircraft they've lost, or they won't, and we'll punish them? [National Defense Authorization Act]they gave them $9 billion. ”
