DOD Boots CNN, WaPo, Others from Workspaces for Conservative Outlets

In a note Friday evening, the Trump Pentagon announced it would kick CNN and three other news outlets from desks in the building to make room for something conservative.

CNN Workspace – Offices that do live broadcasts will visit Newsmax. moreover, Washington Post, hilland military news blogs will lose any kind of workspace that war zones have on their desks and buildings.

The change comes in a change that the Pentagon announced last week that it was kicking out. New York TimesNBC News, National Public Radio, and Politics From the workspace New York Post, One American news network, Breitbart News Network, Huffington Post.

For decades, the Pentagon has rented workspaces to journalists covering the buildings, and many of those stores, especially Legacy Media, have had the same desk for decades. But now, the Trump administration is shaking things and giving the non-legacy outlet the same opportunity.

A note from John Ulley's press chief said the goal is to “expand access to limited office spaces in correspondent corridors to stores that previously did not enjoy the privilege of working from those spaces.” I've said that.

The Pentagon Press Association issued a statement protesting the first round of moves, demanding that they meet with Ulri this week, with the outlet being unfairly selected and comparing it to others who held the workspace. He claims he is at a disadvantage.

Additional outlets were asked to leave in response to their concerns, Ullyot said.

“The outlet's annual rotation will double to minimize the strategic disadvantages of outlets affected by competitors who hold office space within the building. Eight Equivalent outlets of various media,” he wrote.

In response to the additional changes, the Pentagon Press Association issued a statement saying it was “deeply shocked.”

“The Pentagon Press Association was shocked by the Department of Defense's decision to double the number of news organizations that have been removed from the Pentagon's dedicated workspace in two weeks from workspaces between four and eight years old, and was extremely pleased. I am disappointed,” the statement said, adding:

Instead of rethinking that approach after a sincere outreach from more than 20 news outlets this week, the Department of Defense appears to be doubling its irrational policies against news outlets that have covered the US military for decades. is.

The PPA has always been welcoming and is always welcoming new members of the Pentagon Press Legion. We don't think that pentagons have space constraints, and we completely reject the pentagonal argument that established presses must make room for others. The PPA offered to find space for everyone, as we have always done, but obviously the offer was discarded.

“We are studying this unfortunate decision and its implications for all members because it is presented as an annual outbreak. The Department of Defense has made its current PPA members access to the Pentagon buildings. “We guarantee that you retain your credentials to do so.”
