Tom Thibodeau confident in Knicks’ roster after quiet deadline with Mitchell Robinson return looming

Tom Thibodeau asks if Knicks' inaction at trade deadlines, except for one small move, shows that he hopes Mitchell Robinson will return soon after an ankle injury. When it was done, they provided atypical and obvious answers.

“You can read tea leaves,” Thibodeau said. “We love the team. Obviously, we're excited about Mitch, but we feel that too. [rookie] Ariel [Hukporti] Did a good job and valuable [Achiuwa] Did a good job. That's really how we approach it.

“[Team president] Leon [Rose] And his staff, they're on it all year round. I think you tend to think this will happen a few days ago. [deadline]. They are always looking for a way to improve the club. If there is something that makes sense, they will explore it. Then we'll go from there. But we love the team very much. ”

Robinson was finally cleared for contact earlier this week, following off-season ankle surgery.

Thibodeau said the 7 footer, who was ruled out for Saturday's home game against the Celtics, “actually did quite a bit.”

OG Anunoby also took part in the “part” of the session, Thibodeau added, and he is listed as suspicious after missing the last two games with a right-foot sprain.

Thibodeau said Anunoby engaged in “a little but not too much” contact during practice, but he called it “just preventive” and said that the two-way was “a pretty good move.” Ta.

Veteran guard Deron Wright practiced after arriving at Jericho Sims' deal with the Bucks on Wednesday. The Knicks are his 10th team in the 10th NBA season.

“A steady veteran just right. Thibodeau said, “We insure us in that position. We can guard multiple positions, so we felt it was a good thing for us.”

“We like his size [6-5] There are a lot in his position, so see what that will turn out. ”

Both Karl-Anthony Towns (knee) and Josh Hart (knee) are listed as possible.

Jrue Holiday is out for the Celtics in a right shoulder collision.
