The 12th arrest was made on suspicion of sex trafficking of Long Island teenager Emmarae Gervasi, the Post learned.
Daniel Soto, a 36-year-old Bayshoreman, was arrested Friday morning on charges of twice rape and endangering the welfare of a child.
Investigators accused Soto of having sex with the girl between December 13th and December 20th, 2024. The rape is said to have occurred at Islip's White Cap Marine.
Gervasi, 14, went missing from Patchogue's home on December 9th. She was seen on surveillance video and left the house without shoes before jumping into the car. The ankle bracelet she was wearing was amputated and dumped not far away.
The girl's father, Frank Gervasi, rescued her from the ship on January 3rd after receiving hints that she was there.
Soto pleaded not guilty to his arrest.
Eleven other 11 people have been arrested for the roles they played in the case, including boat owners Francis Buckheit, 64, and 35-year-old Alton Harrell.
Bunice Knight, 47, was charged with three criminal sales of second-degree rape, child risk and controlled substances. Daniel Burke, 63, and Robert Ecclestone, 61, are charged with kidnapping, rape and child risk.
Two women, 52-year-old Jacklyn Comisky and 34-year-old Elizabeth Hunter, were charged this week with sex trafficking and child risk.
Kevin McDonald, 20, is accused of raping a girl in her car the day after she disappeared.
