Trump insists he trusts Elon Musk — while reaffirming what US depts. he will target next

President Trump has reaffirmed his next target, the education department and the Pentagon, reaffirming Elon Musk's trusting federal government overhaul and expressing his respect for the work ethic of Technology Titan. It is claiming.

“I ran this,” Trump, 78, told Fox News' Brett Bayer. Preview Clip His Super Bowl interview mentions his administration's efforts to eradicate government waste. “I had great help from the amazing Elon Musk. He's great.”

Baier pushed the president whether skeptics trust the 53-year-old mask, whom he predicts will epicly clash with Trump in an ego conflict.

“Do you trust Elon? Ah, he's got nothing,” Trump replied about the cost-cutting work of his fellow billionaires. “In fact, how can he spend his time? He's crazy about it.”

Trump taps his mask to direct the temporary government agency, the Office of Government Efficiency (DOGE). Through Doge, Musk deployed numerous high-tech Whizzes and other talents to essentially audit federal equipment.

In recent weeks, Musk's Doge has targeted many fanfare from conservatives, including the United States Organization for International Development (USAID) and the crushing of government contracts.

The president reaffirmed that he has two major missions for Musk to take on the next task.

“I'm going to tell him right away, probably within 24 hours, to check out the Department of Education. He'll find the same thing,” Trump said. “I'll go then [to tell him] Go to the Army – Check out the Army. We're going to find billions of dollars, hundreds of billions of dollars in waste, fraud, and abuse.

“People have chosen me,” the president said. He mentioned the cost-cutting move.

Trump previously told reporters Friday that he instructed Musk to look at the Pentagon and the Department of Education.

Musk claims he follows Trump's guidance, including executive orders from the president targeting programs such as diversity, equity, inclusion initiatives and foreign aid.

“The best president of all time!” Musk glowed with X last week about Trump.

But efforts to investigate trillions of dollars worth of federal spending have come across intense uprisings from Democrats and other critics.

Time Magazine recently unveiled a cover featuring a mask sitting behind the president's White House desk.

“Is Time Magazine still in business?” Trump rebutted a reporter last week when asked about the cover. “I didn't know that either.”

Some of Musk's efforts have been faced with set-offs in court. On Saturday, for example, a New York-based judge temporarily blocked Doge's access to the Treasury Department's payment system, which manages federal spending worth trillions of dollars.

On Friday, a Washington, D.C. judge suspended plans to deploy 2,200 employees at USAID on administrative leave.

And more relevant legal challenges are expected on the horizon.

But national security adviser Mike Waltz spoke about USAID and told NBC's “Meet the Press” on Sunday. “The dollar is not used wisely.

“We need to look closely at it, we need to move quickly, and that's exactly what's going on,” he said.

“We need to reorganize their mission and line up with the President's foreign policy vision.”
