The Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) has cancelled its contract for over $180 million in more than 48 hours. This includes a nearly $170,000 contract for an exhibition at the Anthony Fauci Museum.

On Friday, Government Efficiency (DOGE) announced that HHS had cancelled 62 contracts worth around $182 million.
“In the last 48 hours, HHS has cancelled 62 contracts. [sic] The government's Ministry of Efficiency (DOGE) announced in a social media post on Friday.
“These contracts were entirely for administrative costs. None of them touched on the healthcare program, including termination of the $168,000 contract for the Anthony Fauci exhibition at the NIH Museum. was included.”
The move comes as a plan for Elon Musk and his Doge team to eliminate the United States International Development Agency (USAID).
The new division also wants to bring changes to the US Treasury Department. This is working to eliminate more than $100 billion a year in qualification payments to individuals without a Social Security number.
The Fauci exhibition was reserved for completion by July 2025, but the entire project was discarded, bringing the other HHS administrative costs to $182 million.
