Developer Rick Caruso has denounced the Los Angeles city government as construction is clearly delayed at the venue where officials have been denounced the recent Pallisard fire during the 2028 Summer Olympics.
Caruso referenced an article in Los Angeles Times It says expansion to the city's convention center, which is scheduled to become an Olympic venue, must be delayed or disposed of due to the fire.
The billionaire developer who ran with Mayor Karen Bass in 2022 said it should be possible to build it for the Olympics and rebuild it from the fire soon.
“What happened to you saying, 'We're going to cut through the bureaucracy'? ” he asked.
In a series of posts for X, Caruso laid out his case:
Caruso was able to use private fire services to save his own Palisade Village Mall, but many around it burned as city and county firefighters missed the water.
