One Dead, Four Injured as Private Jets Collide at Arizona’s Scottsdale Airport

Two civilian planes collided on the runway at Arizona's Scottsdale Airport on Monday, causing four people to be injured and one person died in the incident.

According to Aviation Planning and Outreach Coordinator Kelli Kuester, the Midsize Business Jet hit another medium-sized business jet parked on private property, the AP reports.

According to Kuester, the outlet left the runway and collided with a parked 200 jet plane. The main landing gear on the arriving jet failed, appearing to have led to a collision, she said.

Quester said four were on an arrival jet that was coming from Austin, Texas, and one was on a parked plane.

Two people injured in the collision were taken to the trauma center, with one in stable condition at the hospital, said Colonel Dave Folio of the Scottsdale Fire Department. He said they are working to recover the bodies of those killed in the collision.

“Our thoughts and prayers are directed at everyone involved in this,” Folio said.

Mötley Crüe Singer Vince Neil was identified as the owner of Learjet.

In a statement Posted on x On Monday, a representative for Neil confirmed that he was not on the jet at the time of the incident.

The exact cause of the incident remained unknown, and Neil's representatives offered “thinking and prayer” to all involved, calling it a “quickly evolving situation.”
