“As allegedly, the defendant conspired to transport dangerous drugs, including fentanyl, to the United States, employing dozens of gunmen, and employed his drug trafficking operations and leadership in the Sinaloa Cartel's Guzman fact. I protected it,” said the Department of Justice's Criminal Division. “Stop Mexican cartels from addiction to our community with fentanyl and other drugs is a top priority for this administration. Today's indictment is a drug that the criminal sector benefits at the expense of the American people. The pursuit of traffickers shows no mercy.”
