Brandon Ingram is a bit keen on Toronto.
The former NBA All-Star signed a three-year, $120 million extension with the Raptors on Tuesday, days after being bought out by the Pelican in exchange for Bruce Brown, Kelly Olinik and two future draft picks.
The deal includes player options for the final season of 2027-28.
He will form a young core in Toronto, including Scotty Burns, Immanuel Quickley and RJ Barrett, who have signed contracts throughout at least the 2026-27 season.
The 27-year-old Ingram is heading north after spending his final five seasons in New Orleans.
In 18 games this season, Ingram averages 22.2 points on 46.5% shooting, earning 5.2 points with 5.6 rebounds and 5.2 assists per game.
He has been on the sidelines with the left sprain of his ankle since early December and has not taken courts for raptors since trade.
Ingram had been in trade rumours for years before it was shipped to Toronto.
The Pelicans finally pulled the trigger in Ingram's deal as both parties were unable to reach an agreement on an extension.
The Hawks were also in discussions to acquire Ingram, Athletic reported.
The Raptors are sitting at 16-37, the fifth in the NBA record, heading for Tuesday's play.
