Attorney General Pam Bondy held a press conference Wednesday afternoon just a week after being sworn in to lead the Department of Justice (DOJ).
Her remarks came as President Trump faced criticism over his decision to fire several DOJ prosecutors and FBI agents who worked on his legal case.
Elon Musk, a high-tech billionaire who leads Trump Department's Government Efficiency (DOGE), is under a microscope for advisory groups to access information from the Treasury's payment system and other agencies. Earlier this month, the DOJ issued an ruling restricting its access, and a federal judge later blocked Doge from the payment system. The Department of Justice replied with the order.
House Democrats also have called for an investigation into senior DOJ officials, claiming they violated the department's code of conduct.
Bondi is scheduled to take place at 4:30pm.
