It is a day when women celebrate love and friendship with important gals in their lives, and millions of people are now celebrating across the country. According to Pew Reaserch, 71% of women say that most of their close friends are of the same gender, making Galentine's Day the perfect opportunity to pay tribute to their sisterhood.
The holiday is born as a kind of joke between friends on the sitcom “Parks and Recreation”, and the protagonist treats the most important woman in her life to a flashy brunch.
