RFK Jr. signals ending the ‘childhood chronic disease epidemic’ will be top priority as HHS secretary 

Newly created health and human services director Robert F. Kennedy Jr. said Thursday that ending the “pediatric chronic disease epidemic” has become one of his top priorities in President Trump's second term I signaled that it would be.

“For 20 years I kneeled every morning and prayed that God would put me in a position where I could end the chronic childhood epidemic of childhood diseases in this country,” Kennedy said in an oath He spoke after the ceremony.

“On August 23rd last year, God sent me President Trump,” he added, referring to the date he ended his White House bid in 2024 and supported Trump.

RFK Jr. argued that Trump's vision to restore “American strength” as a result of chronic illness is not impossible for “weak citizens.”

“60% of our people are sick,” he said.

“77% of our children are not eligible for military service,” Kennedy continued, referring to the 2022 Pentagon Research.

Kennedy was confirmed by the Senate with a vote of 52-48.

The HHS chief praised Trump's recent move for dismantling an agency founded by the US International Development Agency (uncle John F. Kennedy) and said, “We are stealing health.” I want to do the same thing in our kids.”

He said he plans to implement “radical transparency” at HHS and return to “gold standard science” at the agency he currently oversees.

“End the corruption, finish capturing the companies of those institutions, and remove the people of the panel who have conflicts of interest. Not the type of product coming out of these institutions, they are not decorated and unobstructed. You can do science,” Kennedy said.

When a reporter asked what he wanted to say to a Democrat senator who voted against him, RFK took it back to the child.

“Whether you're a blue state or a red state, I'll do everything I can to work with you, whether you're a Democrat or a Republican.
