The 104-year-old woman named Loretta spent her birthday in prison last week at her request.
“Our new friend, Loretta, came to the Sheriff's Office today to get her 104th birthday wishes allowed!” February 10th on Facebook by the Livingston County Sheriff's Office! I said the day's post.
“She celebrated her 104th birthday on February 8th,” the post said.

Livingston County is located in New York's Finger Lakes area, south of Rochester.
The 104-year-old said the post was a resident of a local nursing home. When asked what she wanted to do for her latest birthday, she had the most unusual request: she wanted to go to prison.

“Her reaction was that she wanted to 'see inside our prison,'” the Facebook post said.
Hurlburt Care Communities, which owns the nursing facility, shared more details on the residents' prison trips on its Facebook page.

The title was sent to Naomi Whitehead, born on a farm in Georgia on September 26, 1910, the Associated Press reported.
She recently became the oldest living American after the death of 115-year-old Elizabeth Francis.
