After playing both offensive and defensive careers in the elite college, Heissmann winner Travis Hunter is listed as a cornerback for the upcoming NFL Scouting Combine.
The issue of the disputed role of hunters in the NFL is looming. Perhaps this is a sign that his home is probably on the defensive side of the ball.
In his final season in Colorado, Hunter played 688 snaps in defense and 672 snaps in attack.
He earned 92 catches on the offense for 1,152 yards, 15 total touchdowns, four interceptions, 32 tackles and 11 pass breakups in defense.
In addition to the Heisman Award, Hunter won AP honors this season as first-team cornerback, first-team all-rounder and second-team receiver.
He's definitely going to be involved in his unique skill set in both ways, but it seems unlikely that Hunter will play full-time on both sides of the NFL ball.
Although he is listed as a defensive back for the combine, it is worth noting that drilling work on wide receivers and cornerbacks is separate days, and that hunters can do wide receiver drills “if necessary” I will.
Hunter may be showing off to the combined scouts as a cornerback, but his tools and resume speak for themselves in showing his otherworldly versatility.

Hunter is expected to be in the top five on April 24th, when the NFL Draft begins. This is because it is thought to have an immediate impact regardless of where the team decides to make the most of him.
If his list as a cornerback really conveys his future, the NFL world will have to wait a little longer than expected to see him catch his first touchdown on the pro It might be.
A total of 329 players were invited to the 2025 Combine. This will be held in Indianapolis from February 24th.
