Bill Maher rips Nike’s Super Bowl 2025 ‘So Win’ ad as ‘zombie lie’ about the patriarchy

Bill Maher blows up Nike's new Super Bowl 2025 commercial when he deceives viewers with what is called “zombie lies” about patriarchy I did.

The new black and white ad “So Win” features an honorable roster of female athletes, including WNBA stars Clark, Sabrinaionesque, Aja Wilson, Olympic runner Richardson and Jim's Jordan Chile.

“You can't, you can't win – you can win,” the narrator said in footage of the athletes actually moving.

However, the black and white ad that first aired the sports apparel giant during the Super Bowl since 1998 fired from Maher and his guests on HBO's “Real Time with Bill Maher” on Friday night.

The comedian has accused the ad of being “zombie lies.” This was described as a concept that was once no longer true, but people still say it.

“I think this is a lie about a giant zombie,” he said.

“When was the last time a woman was told: 'You can't do this, you can't be confident',” he continued. “Who are these imaginary patriarchal old men?”

Maher relates the ad to the issues that plague Democrats and how he views voters, saying that Americans “have less knowledgeable about politics, but know you're lying. “It's,” he explained.

Meanwhile, author Pamela Paul on the show said the ad's message was “dishonest” and “strange and defensive.”

“Most of the messages you hear from there are “the power of a girl,” “You go to a girl,” she said.

fellow guest, former Ohio Democrat U.S. Rep. Tim Ryan, shared the pair's feelings by claiming that “the world has moved beyond this.”

Nike did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
