Straphanger, 61, punched, slashed on NYC subway train in random attack: NYPD

A shocking random attack on the J-Train Sunday afternoon in Queens punched and freshened the Strafunger.

The 61-year-old victim was on a northbound train near the Jamaica Centre around 3:15pm. Parsons/Archer Station as an unidentified assailant walked, punched his face and slashed him with his hands.

The suspect fled after an unprovoked assault and authorities brought the victim to NYC Health + Hospitals/Queens in stable condition.

The officers still don't know the attacker's motives and have no explanation at this point.

Thrashing is just the latest example of recent subway violence that cursed the Big Apple. Last week, a manhattan unhinged commuter cut the officer with a broken bottle of wine, spurting out a “full dog pile,” and an infuriated man bit another officer trying to cuff him.

The suspect in that case, 35-year-old Corinth Hill, was later charged with two counts of assault and resisted arrests and other crimes.
