Fox analyst Andy McCarthy blasts Trump DOJ for 'weaponization' in column

Fox News Analyst Andy McCarthy has denounced President Trump's Department of Justice (DOJ) and said Attorney General Pambondy will weaponize the department.

in Op-Ed McCarthy, published Sunday in the National Journal, denounced Bondi's “weaponization working group,” saying the group was using weaponizations intended to weed.

“News Flash: Pam Bondi is currently representing the Department of Justice, and in fact leads it. Therefore, it is her ethical duty to advance good defenses in government actions,” McCarthy wrote. It's there. “If she's trying to vent Trump's complaints without putting the terrible Justice Department actions in context, she's working in partisan law enforcement.

Earlier this month, Bondy was sworn in as Attorney General. As a former Florida prosecutor, Bondi approved 54-46 by the Senate. Shortly after taking the job, Bondi fired a series of notes, including those that established a working group aimed at “eliminating corruption” in the department.

She faced intense scrutiny from Democrats who have given up to Trump's pressure through the traditionally nonpartisan sector and expressed concerns about prosecuting his political opponents.

McCarthy pointed out that Trump had issues with Biden-era special adviser Jack Smith, Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg (D) and New York State Attorney General Letitia James. He argued that everyone at the Department of Justice or the FBI also “helped and bet” those people “have committed a crime by the association.”

“Obviously, the “Weaponization Working Group” exists to resolve the president's score and rewrite the dark chapters of his history. Meanwhile, we provide him with a quarterly guarantee that Attorney General Bondi is the current Department of Justice core mission,” concluded McCarthy.
