Rep. Claudia Tenney (RN.Y.) has introduced a bill to establish President Trump's birthday on June 14th as a public holiday.
The Trump Birthday and Flag Day Holiday Establishment Act proposes recognition of both Trump's birthday and flag day, celebrated as a federal public holiday on June 14th.
“Just as George Washington's birthday is codified as a federal holiday, President Trump's birthday should be celebrated to recognize him as the founder of America's golden age.” I wrote it on social platform x on monday.
George Washington was born on February 22nd, but his birthday, President's Day is celebrated on the third Monday of February.
in Another post from Fridayshared after she introduced Trump's birthday bill, Tenney said, “Modern Presidents are less important to our country than Donald J. Trump.”
“Today, I introduced a law designating Trump's birthday and flag day as a federal holiday, ensuring that President Trump's contribution to America's greatness is forever given to the law.” she added.
The bill marks the latest attempt by GOP lawmakers to commemorate Trump and some of his “America's first” declarations.
Last month, Rep. Addison McDowell (RN.C.) introduced legislation renaming Washington Dulles International Airport after Trump.
McDowell I proposed a bill Alongside Guy Reschenthaler (R-Pa.), Brian Jack (R-Ga.), Riley Moore (RW.Va.), and Brandon Gill (R-Texas).
