The Madden family are back in the National Football League.
The Washington commander announced Tuesday that he had hired John Madden's grandson Jesse to the coaching staff as an offensive quality control coach.
Jesse was recently a member of the Michigan Football Program, who graduated from the past year after winning the national championship in 2024.

He switched to a defensive back after being the quarterback for the Wolverines for his freshman season in 2021.
Madden, a pro football hall of fame, had a 103-32-7 record in 10 NFL seasons, coached the Oakland Raiders and won the Super Bowl victory in the 1976 season.

The 2024 season went from 4-13 to 12-5, a pondering success for the commander who took charge of an NFC Championship game appearance with offensive rookie of the year Jayden Daniels.
Madden's name was attached to the main NFL video game in the 1990s.
The commander also hired Brian Schneider as the team's assistant special team coordinator. He is in his 18th season as an NFL coach. He was San Francisco's special team coordinator in 2022 and 2023.

Schneider was Seattle's special team coordinator from 2010 to 2020, with his unit ranked number one in the NFL in takeout (26) and number two in kicks blocked during that period (24).
