Trump orders DOJ to terminate all ‘Biden Era’ US attorneys

President Trump announced Tuesday that he had directed the Justice Department to terminate all US lawyers appointed under the Biden administration. The federal agency claimed it was “politicized more than ever.”

Trump, 78, said he repeatedly claimed that former President Joe Biden had “weaponized” the DOJ to bring federal accusations against him.

The announcement comes a week after the White House issued a notice of fire to several federal prosecutors appointed by the Biden administration.

Nassau County Judge Joseph Noserra Jr. was selected to lead the Eastern District of New York, along with Securities and Exchange Commission Chairman Jay Clayton as a US lawyer for the Southern District of New York in Manhattan.

Trump also oversaw all of the fires in the January 6th riot lawsuit and appointed Edward Martin, the U.S. attorney for Washington, D.C.
