Rep. Dan Goldman (DN.Y.), the lead defense attorney for President Trump's first bullet each, said on Wednesday that since taking office a month ago, the president said he had “dozens of bullets each possible.” He said he believes he committed a crime.
“Donald Trump committed probably dozens of perchable crimes in his first month,” Goldman said. Interview with Scripps Newswhen asked if he thought any of Trump's actions had risen to a level of perchable crime.
“He violates the right, left and center of the Constitution,” Goldman added.
But Goldman said a third each trial for Trump would never happen in a GOP-controlled Congress, urging Democrats to find other ways to keep Trump accountable.
“The reality is that Republicans control the House and they control the Senate. And they are not only controlled by the majority, but therefore, they are all kinds of exploration of each ammo. They will have to lead – but they show a lack of spine, will and resolve to support their strength,” Goldman said. “They just give their own authority in Congress and hand it over to Donald Trump.”
“So it's not happening whether there's a percheable crime or not. And we need to focus on other ways to provide accountability to Donald Trump,” he said. I continued.
Goldman has attacked numerous moves Trump has taken over in recent weeks. From cleaning to federal labor and efforts to expand the White House's authority over various independent regulatory bodies.
He also called some of the Trump administration's moves “reckless” and opening up servers to his government efficiency (DOGE) committee to access American personal data only raises privacy concerns. It also points out that foreign parties create access points for access to data.
“Donald Trump wants to put everything under his thumb so that all administrative agencies can be used for his own personal interests and for his own political retaliation. I want to do that,” Goldman said. Many different ways including the fact that it has to return to Congress so that it does not become independent. ”
Goldman has previously criticised Elon Musk's role in the Trump administration, saying the tech billionaire is “calling shots.”
The hill reached the White House for comments.
