‘Under no circumstances can I continue’

One of Sean “Diddy” Combs' defense lawyers has quit the disgraceful music producer's criminal sex trafficking case, a new court paper shows.

Anthony Ricco filed an allegation on Thursday to withdraw as one of the six lawyers of the founder's six defense attorneys without explanation.

Ricco's bid to resign until the judge signs off is not official. The judge must find sufficient reasons to approve such a request.

“Under any circumstances, I cannot effectively serve as a lawyer for Sean Combs,” Ricco wrote in a Manhattan Federal Court application. “I am honored, but unfortunately, I have been asked to admit that the court has requested relief.”

The lawyer did not elaborate on why he wanted to resign, but said the decision came after speaking with Marc Agnifilo, the lead lawyer for Combs.

Combs, 54, pleaded not guilty to accusations that forced a woman to go on a drug-rich sex show.

His attorney did not immediately return a request for comment Friday morning.
