St. John's Basketball jumped to #7 in the Associated Press' Top 25 polls, and it's even longer since Red Storm voted in 33 years and ranked this high late in the season.
The jump comes after Red Storm's big victory over DePaul and last week's victory in a statement against UConn.
15-2 in Big East Play, St. John's coincided with the amount of victory they had between 1984 and '85.
The six-week run in the national poll is the longest in the program as it spent 16 weeks between 1998 and 99, reaching 8th place.
The Red Storm reached seventh place for the first time since the early weeks of the 1991-92 season.
Even more noteworthy is the fact that Johnny has not ranked this high on March 1st since Walterbury and Mark Jackson led the Red Storm to the Big East Tournament title.

And in the program's history dating back to 1907, St. John's was ranked among the top ten in March.
