Jones, 24, was recently sent to Hartford in a conditioning stint on Thursday after playing with the Rangers on February 7th.
He has appeared in two Rangers games since December 23rd, bumping into the depth chart after the arrival of Will Borgen and Urho Vakananen, who were acquired in separate deals in December.
