Keegan Bradley has arrived at Sophie Centre, boasting a new look. He dumped his popular mustache. This is something I've had since Sentry, which opened in Maui in early January.
In an interview with ESPN's Marty Smith, the captain of the Ryder Cup in Clean Shave cited the TGL struggle. Bradley said the Boston Common Squad had to “switch the Mojo” after losing three consecutive first TGL seasons.
“We didn't win with a mustache,” Bradley said during a match before him in a TGL match.
“Without a mustache, we're undefeated, so we shave it.”
Boston's recent defeat comes from The Bay, a team of San Francisco-based Ludvig Aberg, Shane Lowry and Wyndham Clark.
“Well, again a tough loss, a third week in a row,” Bradley said after his recent defeat.
“This is the best we've played. They played a little better.”
The Clarke Eagle on hole 15 proved to be a difference. Bay won by points and improved to a perfect 3-0 season. They sit in the Sophie Cup standings with six points, but Boston remains the only team without a victory.
Boston lost to Jupiter's rink in overtime, so at least they rescued it that way. Still, they're sitting at the bottom of the rankings at one point overall. They hope to change that on Monday evening as they play against Atlanta Drive Golf Club. Perhaps Bradley's mustache will bring a good mojo and their first victory.
