Lindsay Lohan's father, Michael Lohan, was hit by an emergency protection order on Monday after allegedly attacking his estranged wife, Kate Major.
According to court documents, the judge granted an order requiring Michael to refrain from assaulting or communicating Major on threatening or harassment issues. Get by TMZ.
Michael, 64, is also prohibited from coming within 200 feet of the Major's home or work.
The development comes after Michael was arrested in the attack on Saturday on suspicion of fighting the Major.
Page 6 confirmed that he was charged with “continued violence against his family” and was taken into custody in Texas.
A spokesman for the Harris County Sheriff's Office said the 42-year-old major was appointed a doctor when he spotted Michael in the building's parking lot. She then called the police thinking he was following her.
In her report, the Major claimed to the officer that Michael had flipped her out of the chair a few days ago. She complained of pain and discomfort, and officers confirmed that she had a bruise.
Major representatives never returned to us for comments, but Michael denied the charges through his lawyer in a statement to TMZ.
Andino Reynal argued to the outlet that the major is an alcoholic with a criminal history, including several DUI arrests and at least three convictions.
The lawyer explained that Michael tried to help him get clean “for her own interests and two young children.”
However, “When it was revealed that Kate hadn't given up on drinking, Michael asked her to move out of the guesthouse where she lived — and these things [police] The accusations continued. ”
Reynal called the timing of the Major's claim “suspectful.”
Michael and Major – married in 2014 before filing for divorce four years later – both have been implementing several practices to the law over the years.
The Major was arrested for a household battery in 2018, and Michael found himself behind a bar that was allegedly physically abused in 2020.
The officers were also involved during the fierce 2024 conflict between the two. At the time, the Major shared an Instagram video showing himself and Michael fighting outside their home.
