Buccaneers running back Rachaad White victim of alleged extortion attempt

Buccaneers running through Rachaad White is the victim of a fear tor whose FBI allegedly investigates the situation, his lawyer said.

White's lawyers, Michel Gerweis and TJ Grimaldi, confirmed the news in statements to multiple outlets, saying “other appropriate authorities” were considering the situation.

“The threat and demand of illegal and honorable damage to Rachaad and his family will encounter zero tolerance. We will be able to protect Rachaad's rights as a victim of the fearful tor, and we will be able to take all legal paths. Continue to exercise. The lawyer said in a statement.

No specific details have been made regarding the suspected fearful trime attempt.

The FBI office in Tampa, Florida does not confirm it is involved in an ongoing investigation related to White. Reported by Greg Auman from Fox Sports.

The Hillsboro County Sheriff's Office was unable to confirm its involvement in the investigation.

White split up running back with Bucky Irving in his third NFL season in 2024.

He was a full-time starter for the Buccaneers in 2023.

White ran for 2,084 yards and 10 touchdowns in his first three years at Tampa, and was drafted in the third round of the 2022 NFL Draft.

The 26-year-old is headed for the final year of his contract.
