The Giants are in their 2024 season, but manager Brian Dabor is gaining popularity with players.
That was revealed when the NFL Players Association came out on Wednesday The annual team report card.
Daboll received a B-PLU grade in a player survey. The only high grade in the other 10 categories was A-negative for strength coaches.
Last year, Daboll received an A-Minus performance from his players.
During the 3-14 season, Daboll couldn't stop losing — a franchise-recorded 10 games losing streak — but there was never a rebellion in the locker room.
When it was the year after the season to justify and explain why co-owner John Mara didn't fire Daball, Mara looked at the relationship between the head coach and the player.
“I'm always practicing. I go to team meetings, look at the players and see how they react,” Mara said. “I still think he's the right guy to guide us.”
Mara and co-owner Steve Tish were not carried, like Dabour. They received a C-PLU grade in the “ownership” category.
