“The View” collided on Wednesday, with Alyssa Farah Griffin trying to fact-check liberal co-host Sunny Hostin.
During the discussion on the topic, Hostin said, “I think what appeals to me is that he ran on immigrants. I know that he is also a Canadian border, so he really ran on the southern border.
As Griffin tried to explain that it was not Canadians who were crossing the north border, Hostin cited a conversation with Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer, saying he claimed Griffin was misunderstood. Hostin irritated and asked, “Can I finish talking?”
“Can I finish what I was saying so I don't lose my thoughts? The point was about immigration from the southern border, and those immigrants or immigrants look in a certain way. So this really seems like it never really was about immigration,” Hostin continued.

The co-host argued that Trump had raised a $5 million “gold card.” He said the card would grant “Green Card privileges,” According to the report.
“It's okay for Russian oligarchs to come. It's okay for people with money to come, but it's not okay for people to offer a path to citizenship for people who were here, like the recipients of DACA, others who looked differently,” Hostin continued.
When Whitmer appeared on the show, Hostin claimed that Trump deporters were targeting “brown” people.
Griffin repeatedly tried to keep the Hostin point misnomer, explaining that immigrants from Mexico and India are crossing the northern border.
“Mexico and India are the two biggest places where people come, because they think it's actually easier than going through the cartels and passing through the safer southern border. So if they have resources, that's what the Northern immigration crisis has nothing to do with Canadians,” she said.

After returning from the commercial, co-host Whoopi Goldberg dealt with the conflict and asked if the host had anything else to say about the discussion.
“I won't,” Hostin said.
“I know it's going to get hot, and I'm not going to step on people when I do, I'm working on the interruption,” Griffin explains more about the gold card idea.
“Incentivize those who want to be, those who want to be citizens and try to come here. I'm a strong advocate for the H1B visa. If you want to start a company here, you want to start the next Apple here, so we need to do that all the time. It sounds like we're heading towards the best bidders.

Hostin had another argument towards the end of the discussion. The US should focus on educating their people rather than having more people come here and seeking jobs.
