Rep. Andrew Clyde (R-GA) wants to see a balanced budget amendment to the US Constitution, he said in an interview Wednesday. Breitbart News Daily.
Clyde has been discussing recent budget talks and said many states have such amendments, including their homelands in Georgia.
“I want to see a balanced budget, and I honestly want to see a balanced budget revision in our constitution. Many states have that. My hometown in Georgia has it. He explained how this works at the federal level, he said.
“That's how Georgia's state government works, and that's how the federal government should work,” he argued, noting that's what they're working on. Clyde added that a balanced budget revision would come on the floor and get votes was part of the requirement during the small-gave fight of former speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-CA), but he has since been replaced by speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA).
“It never happened,” he said. “So you know, we know that McCarthy has been replaced, but this particular bill [the budget resolution passed Tuesday evening] Instructs several committees to cut their spending. There are many of them, you know, the methods and means will do some of its tax cuts, but energy and commerce are primarily focused on forced spending, which is a very fundamentally increasing essential spending side of the federal government. ”

Clyde also pointed out the amount of fraud in “forced spending.”
“I know that Doge has $2 billion a week for people without Social Security alone, which is $104 billion a year,” he said their budget resolution doesn't include what Elon Musk and Doge discovered.
