Karoline Leavitt says press struggling with Trump White House ‘having so much fun’

White House spokesperson Caroline Leavitt said in an interview Wednesday that the media is struggling with the Trump administration, saying it was “really so much fun.”

“I think that's something the media is struggling with. We really have so much fun, so we see them get hooked on Elon Musk and President Trump. He told the host of the “ruthless” podcast.

“The fact that he loves to hold these oval office press conferences, as the staff and the president himself spend his life,” she continued.

Trump repeatedly asked reporters questions over the first few weeks. The president is reportedly already receiving more than 1,000 press questions.

“It's the most accessible president we've ever had, and it's a question about all topics under the sun, and he did it with his whole cabinet sitting around him, with transparency and accessibility, and although they won't air it, they'll tell you that they're happy with it,” Levitt said.

She also discussed changes to the White House briefing room and media access to the administration.

Some of the changes in Leavitt included new media sheets for influencers, podcasters and more. John Ashbrook, co-host of the “Russy” podcast, was one of the first podcast hosts to access the briefing room.

“This goes back to the non-traditional media strategies that Donald Trump won by owning and winning on podcasts, influencers, comedians and campaign trails that own the space.

“And he's probably never heard of his honest message, and because his reporting has always experienced legacy media bias, he's never heard of an honest message, and he's able to bring the nation to who he truly is as a human,” she added.

Leavitt also said their team felt that it was “irresponsible” to not continue the strategy after Trump took office.

The spokesman pushed back the idea that the White House was trying to produce more favorable reports for the president, calling it “laughing.”

“Legacy Media is still in the briefing room. I ask questions from CNN as much as I'm asking questions from our great conservative friends who don't have seats in that room.

Leavitt said their administration is “most transparent,” adding that Trump and herself are not afraid to ask any questions from anyone.
