Floyd Mayweather couldn't help but laugh when asked about his reaction to the fight with Jake Paul Mike Tyson.
When appearing in “The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon,” Mayweather explained that a potential battle with Paul would be a cakewalk for him at the age of 48.
“Too easy,” Mayweather said when asked about possible sparring with Paul, 27, who defeated 58-year-old Tyson last November. “I'm 48 and it's way too easy.”
Re-sharing the interview clip, Paul said he would knock Mayweather out if they went into the ring together.
“You're the butt” Paul wrote X. “”[YouTuber] Digi [Olatunji] We gave you dark eyes at an event with 4,000 people. Digihahaha. I knock you out in two rounds and you can't smell Mike Tyson's toes. ”
Paul previously defeated Oratunji in the fifth round of the 2018 match.
Mayweather defeated Oratunji in the sixth round at the 2022 exhibition.
“I really don't know where to go with this subject. If I say anything, I'm going to get backlash… Whatever I say, it's not always right,” Mayweather told Fallon about Tyson Paul streamed on Netflix.
“Essentially, when you watch boxing for free, you can have … hundreds of millions of viewers, but when you watch Floyd Mayweather, you have to pay, and that's the real thing.
“I've given a pay-per-view number. Please check the records.”
Paul, 28, denied that the unanimous decision victory over 58-year-old Tyson on November 15 was manipulated through a contractual agreement after both fighters faced backlash over holding an inactive event.
Many believed that the expected showdown was a Snooze Fest.
After the fight, Paul explained that he didn't want to hurt the former heavyweight champion even more.
According to the final results, Tyson landed 18 punches out of 97, while Paul connected with 78 of 278 punches.
Tyson reportedly won $20 million in the fight, while Paul received $40 million.
Mayweather retired from professional boxing after beating Conor McGregor in 2017.
He maintained an undefeated record in a series of subsequent exhibitions, including an eight-round exhibition for Paul's older brother Logan in Dubai in 2022.
“Me and Logan [Paul]we had an exhibition, so he wanted to hug me all night, so he moved to WWE,” Mayweather joked about the 2021 match. “I think WWE is good for Logan.”
Logan landed 28 of the 217 punches, and Mayweather led in 43 of the 107 in the battle of the exhibition.
Mayweather added that there is no itching to return to the ring.
“No, not at all,” he told Fallon about his potential return to the sport. “I can sit on the couch every week, and I get wires in every week. Millions of people every week. So I'm Floyd 'Money' Mayweather every week. ”
