Attorney General Pam Bondy accused FBI director Kash Patel on Thursday of accusing federal agents of withholding thousands of pages of the Jeffrey Epstein document she had vowed to be made public.
Bondi said Patel was confirmed as the FBI head and requested the full file of the Epstein case before receiving the file, which is about 200 pages long.
“I repeatedly questioned whether this was the complete set of documents that corresponded to my request, and I was repeatedly assured by the FBI that I received the complete set of documents,” writes Bondi. “Late yesterday, I learned from a source that the FBI Field Office in New York owns thousands of pages of documents relating to Epstein's investigation and prosecution.”

She said the FBI never revealed the existence of these files and requested that they be handed over by Friday morning.
“By 8am tomorrow, by February 28th, the FBI will deliver a complete and complete Epstein file to my office, including all records, documents, audio and video recordings, as well as all records, documents, audio and video recordings and materials relating to Jeffrey Epstein and his clients,” writes Bondi. “There are no withholding or restrictions on me or your access.”

The FBI, now currently involved in a lawsuit claiming that it failed to properly investigate a credible allegation against Epstein decades ago, did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

She added that confidential information about the victim will continue to be edited before it is made public. She also ordered an internal investigation into the matter and told Patel to propose “HR action” within two weeks.
Bondi previously said a batch of Epstein-related documents will be released Thursday afternoon.
