Anthony Edwards hurls ball into stands after being ejected in loss to Lakers

Things went downhill for Timberwolves star Anthony Edwards in a 111-102 defeat to the Lakers on Thursday night.

The All-Star Guard visibly furious while being escorted from the court after the second technology that brought automatic ejection in the third quarter, whipped the ball with a fan sitting in the first sequence of crypto.com arena.

The crowd cried out “Oohs” as 23-year-old Edwards slapped his hands with some of his teammates on his way to the locker room.

In the third quarter, Edwards was driving into the basket while being protected by Lakers guard Gabe Vincent.

Finishing with 18 points, Edwards was without a foul called into the play and instead became a jump ball with Lakers big man Jarred Vanderbilt.

He was asked for his second technical foul after continuing to chirp on Brent Barnakie and other officials.

“He has to get better. He's got too much explosions. Timberwolves coach Chris Finch said. “They'll certainly miss a few calls from time to time. We've been telling him about it. It's with him.”

Edwards' first technique came for another incident Press the incident with Vanderbilt.

He seemed confused by Cole, clutching the ball when he learned of his ejection and bouncing it a few times before walking.

Edwards has 16 technicals this season, resulting in automatic one-game suspension.

He will serve the Timberwolves on Friday when they face Utah jazz.

As of Friday, the NBA has not yet addressed the incident.

For each of the two technical fouls after the player's 16th place, one game ban will be made per league rule.
