Swalwell tells Rubio to ‘grow a pair’ after Trump-Zelensky squabble

Rep. Eric Swalwell (D-Calif) told Secretary of State Marco Rubio to “raising the pair” after a heated meeting with Washington's Ukrainian President Voldimir Zelensky, after a former senator defended President Trump.

After the release between Zelensky, Trump and Vice President Vance on Friday, Rubio said, “I thanked the commander for standing up to America in ways the president had never had the courage to do. Thank you for putting America first. America is with you!”

A frequent Trump critic, Swalwell, immediately called out Rubio for his reaction to the huddle, who was off the rails.

“Both, did you write this? We all saw you,” Swalwell said. I wrote it In a Friday post on Social Platform X, “You tried to shrink in the chair. You saw Trump like he was a crazy ass pop that embarrassed you on your first date. Not a bull —-we. Raise a pair.”

The Secretary of State sat relatively blankly next to Vance in his oval office Friday.

Vance was critical of Zelensky, who expressed skepticism about the claim that a peace deal could be reached with Russia and its president, Vladimir Putin.

The vice president said the Ukrainian leader was “disrespectful” to come to the White House “to try to sue this in front of the American media.”

“Now you're in the position of talent, and you're forcing the president to end his conflict as you're forced to draft the frontline,” Vance told Zelensky.

Former Ohio Senator Vance accused Zelensky of ungratefulness of the military aid the United States has given to Kiev since the invasion of the Russian country more than three years ago.

The commander said after the meeting that Zelensky was not ready to agree to an end the war.

Zelensky thanked Trump, adding that Kiev “we need a fair and lasting peace and we are working precisely for that.”
