The Rangers traded defensive men Ryan Lindgren and Jimmy Visy for unlimited free agents after the season – along with the avalanche, they were in exchange for Juso Perssinen, Calvin De Hahn, 2025 second round pick, 2025 fourth round pick and post Marie Walkermen.

Rangers also hold 50% of Lindgren's salary.
The Rangers have struggled for much of the season despite only sitting four points out of the Eastern Conference final wildcard spots to take part in Saturday's game.
These deals allow them to keep most of their core intact, ensuring they have something in place, just in case Lindgren and Vessie sign elsewhere in the offseason.
However, their blue line depth was a huge hit. Adam Fox is in the injured reserve, and now his longtime partner, Lindgren, is heading for Colorado.
