Two arrested in NYC standoff following reports of shots fired: police

Two men were arrested for barricaded themselves inside their Brooklyn home on Saturday afternoon after an hour's standoff with law enforcement, police and sources said.

Authorities responded to 164 St. John's Place between 6th and 7th Avenues in Park Slope around 1:30pm after receiving a report of the shots that were fired.

Police that closed the area said no injuries were reported.

Police and sources said the authorities were taken into custody around 4pm when authorities accessed Brownstone after being negotiated by the city's emergency services unit.

NYPD air units were also on the scene.

The firearm was not recovered at the scene, police said they were in the process of securing a search warrant for the residence.

The investigation is still underway.
