Republican Sen. Lisa Murkovsky (Alaska) denounced the Trump administration over his recent fallout with Ukrainian leader Voldymir Zelensky during Friday's oval office meeting aired by the US press on Friday.
“This week began with administrative authorities refusing to admit that Russia has begun a war in Ukraine. It ended with a tense, shocking conversation in an oval office, whispering from the White House, and they may try to end all US support for Ukraine,” Murkowski wrote. Saturday's post x.
“I know that foreign policy isn't for the faint of heart, but for now I'm tired of my stomach as the administration appears to be releasing Putin from our allies.
Her stance, remarkable by Republicans, reflects the attitudes of many foreign leaders who labeled the conference as a harsh and critical crucial American values, including the country's tradition of fighting for democracy around the world.

Before the meeting, the US voted “No” in a UN resolution condemning Russia's invasion of Ukraine.
