LONDON (AP) – British Prime Minister Kiel Stage, who has accepted Ukrainian president Voldymee Zelenkie on Saturday and has won the country's unwavering support the day after President Donald Trump's White House blowout.
Zelenskyy arrived to shout support from those gathered outside 10 Downing St. There, Starme gave him a hug and led him inside.
“And as you've heard from the cheers on the streets outside, you're fully supporting the UK,” Stage told the leader of the war-torn country. “We will stand with you and with Ukraine.
Zelenskyy thanked him for his support and friendship and the people of England.
The meeting is the day after an extraordinary diplomatic meltdown when Trump and Vice President JD Vance blow up Zelenskyy in the oval office of live television that they are not fully grateful for the support of the US.
Zelensky was poised to enter into a contract to allow the United States to access mineral wealth to Trump to reach Ukraine to end the war with Russia. However, he left town without signing anything.
Zelenskyy was scheduled to discuss Ukraine on Sunday before a summit with other European leaders and meet in order of priority before coming to reinforce the defence of the entire continent.
However, their bilateral meeting schedule appears to have been clearly surged in the aftermath of their visit to Washington.
Zelensky will meet with Charles III on Sunday before a summit at Lancaster House, the 200-year-old mansion near Buckingham Palace.
