Canadian wrestling fans booed Star Spangled banners at a Saturday night WWE Wrestling match. Commentator Pat McAfee calls Canada “awful.”
American singer Elizabeth Irving performed the national anthem in front of the WWE showcase on Saturday night, The loud booing sound Jehovah from the crowd at Toronto's Rogers Centre.
The boos continued throughout the national anthem performance. It was the loudest when Irving sang “And the Red Glare of the Rocket.”
ESPN's Pat McAfee, who was at the announcer's desk for the “Elimination Chamber” event, took Umbrage in a rude exhibition.
“This is the most stacked removal chamber WWE has ever had,” McAfee I said it on the Peacock broadcast.
“It's awful to boo our national anthem and start this whole thing in Canada,” cried McAfee, rising from his chair in anger.
The Toronto booing is the latest example of Canadian rage that has been repeatedly expressed at sporting events since President Trump threatened to collect heavy tariffs on goods from the country.
At the NHL's 4 Nations Face Off Exhibition Tournament last month, Canadians booed Star Spangled banners as they prepare to play the Canadian national team.
An angry Canadian first booed the national anthem on February 1 at a Senator's match on February 1, days after President Trump first threatened tariffs.
