For years, the first base location was one of the easiest locations to draft Fantasy baseball.
Power is everywhere, and I knew that even if I missed some of the top 40 homer bats, I still had enough power in the later rounds.
Nevertheless, the position has become the top-heavy over the past few seasons. If you missed it, sifting through bargain bottles can be a pain.
It's no secret that Top First Bassman is entering the 2025 season.
Vladimir Guerrero Jr., Bryce Harper, Freddie Freeman, Matt Olson and Pete Alonso should be your targets.
In recent fantasy ADP, you're off the board within the first three rounds of a 12-team draft, so plan accordingly.
Overall you don't need to hit them on the first 10 picks, but depending on who is available, you definitely need to be careful in that second round or third round.
If you miss one of the top five, don't panic and don't reach for the next first bass man. This is a common mistake.
Players like Josh Naylor and Christian Walker are solid additions to the roster, but not at the expense of better players available in other positions.

Both are equally competent, each falling outside the top 100 picks of most drafts.
If that first basemen class lets you get away, take a breath for a while and build a roster anywhere else.
Reaching out for aged veterans like Paul Goldschmidt and inconsistent Michael Toglia likely resembles the number of runs like Ryan Mount Castle and Nathaniel Lowe, both of which can win 40-50 picks.

If you notice that there is no one base move late in the draft, you want to look at some possibilities and advantages.
If you have many advantages from lesser-known players like Jonathan Aranda in Tampa Bay or Jonabride in Miami, you don't need to bother someone like Rice Hoskins.
Aranda flashed the .195 ISO mark last season and managed to reach the 20 Homer barrier as the Rays' full-time DH. The bride also worked between the first and DH for the Marlins.
Both are their prime years, and neither sacrifices a higher pick than the 23 round.
This season, 1 base is very cut and dry for fantasy managers, so be sure to understand. In the meantime, anything will disappoint you, so give yourself a favor and act quickly.
Your Championship run will be extremely easy with your arsenal elite bat.
