Olivia “Livivy” Dan took 5.3 million Instagram followers to Wild Ride on Saturday as the grand marshal of the New Orleans Endymion Parade crew before Mardi Gras.
The star LSU gymnast dressed in an emerald green gown – now in his fifth and final year with the Tigers – posted a video on her Instagram story when she floated down the city and threw a purple beaded necklace and cheered on her watch.
“Mardi Gras Livvy has been unlocked.” Dan captioned the video of her parade ensemble on Tiktok videos.
Dan, who boasts a whopping 8 million followers on the viral video platform, was chosen as the Grand Marshall of the year because “her spirit and energy reflect the spirit of Mardi Gras.”
“We are extremely excited to have Olivia Dan as the grand marshal for the 2025 Endymion Parade,” said Dunkelly, captain of Endymion. According to nola.com. “Her spirit and energy reflects the spirit of Mardi Gras and I can't wait for her to lead and celebrate this special occasion.”
Dan joined Saturday's parade with intense heart following the death of fellow LSU athlete Dillon Riedenauer, who was tragically killed in a car accident at the age of 18 on Wednesday.
The gymnast and her Tigers teammates wore black ribbons in their hair to honor Paul Boulder during LSU competition with George Washington on Friday.

It was a year filled with Dan's milestones, earning his bachelor's degree in multidisciplinary studies in December.
