In pursuit of a criminal investigation linked to the exiled mayor, federal subpoena have been issued demanding records from self-proclaimed “super mayor” Tiffany Henard, among others.
The subpoena defeated the mayoral primary in Dalton, Illinois, by a landslide, on February 25th, Democrat Enard's Day. The subpoena is tied to a development project involving a land reportedly owned by Henniard's boyfriend. Fox 32 Chicago reported.
The subpoena requested many documents from 2014 to the present, including citations, code violations, emails, phone calls and text messages. It also requested communications between property owners, tenants and Dalton village personnel. Reps included Heniyard's boyfriend Kamal Woods.
The subpoena is the latest development in an ongoing federal investigation into Henniard's activities while she serves as the mayor of the village and overseeing the township.

The Chicago suburb faces a series of subpoena during Henniard's turbulent mayoral term.
One subpoena served in April, demanding personnel and disciplinary files from almost 30 individuals.
Another subpoena called for all documents related to Keith Freeman, the indicted village manager, and several companies he is involved with. Federal authorities have made false statements in his bankruptcy petition and accused him of not reporting income.
Enyard was banished in the village mayoral primary on February 25th with nearly 88% of votes after the administration was attacked on suspicion of financial mismanagement.
Jason House, once an ally of Henard, ran on a platform of transparency and pledged to restore accountability to the Dalton government.

“Mr. Enyard not only takes away the public what they deserve, but he also sacrifices the money in the village,” House said on Election Day. “On the first day, all records will be handed over.”

Last year, former Democrat Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot was hired to investigate the handling of Henniard's Dalton funds. The investigation revealed that the village's general fund had dropped from a $5.6 million surplus in 2022 to a $3.6 million deficit in 2024, causing questionable concerns. She has also been charged with civil rights violations and faces numerous lawsuits over alleged corruption.

Enyard's scandal-plagued tenure included a virus video in January when activist Jedidia Brown saw her being thrown into a brawl during a Thornton Township Councillors meeting after having strong words for Henyard.
“You were Half A-Mayor. But if you were hoping to get up and pay your respects, you could have responded to Lori Lightfoot's report on credit cards. I want to talk about things you haven't come to work, but you've heard what you're doing while you're at work.”
“And on behalf of the Black Cookout Association, we think it's better to vote, so we're going to pass the rest of the time… We're going to trade your black people – so Stephanie becomes a new member… so everyone who disagrees with it says 'Nay'. Every person who likes says “aye.” ”
“You're gone, b —-,” Brown concluded.

The room quickly fell into chaos as a bystander video showed each other throwing brown punches behind the room. Others took part in the fight as security tried to separate the crowd.
